Duran Duran Launching Astronaut Arena Tour

1980s heartthrobs kicking off North American trek on February 8.

Duran Duran, the 1980s heartthrobs whose exotic videos were staples on MTV in the channel’s early days, are mounting a North American arena tour, beginning February 8 in Puerto Rico.

The Fab Five’s Astronaut world tour will touch down for 40 shows, ending in New York on April 13.

Duran Duran recently released Astronaut, their first studio album recorded with the band’s original lineup since 1983′s Seven and the Ragged Tiger. Their last U.S. tour, in the fall of 2003, was their 25th anniversary 78-03 Tour, which marked the first time Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor had played together since the mammoth charity concert Live Aid in 1985.
