Usher, Jessica Simpson, Kanye West To Perform At AMAs

Josh Groban, Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney round out initial list of performers for November 14 ceremony.

Usher, who's made the awards-show stage his second home this year, leads the list of artists set to perform at the 32nd annual American Music Awards.

Jessica Simpson, Kanye West, Josh Groban, Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney round out the initial list of performers slated to take the stage at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on November 14. Additional artists will be announced at a later date.

All seven performers are nominated for at least one American Music Award.

Usher, who recently took home three awards at the World Music Awards (see "Usher, Outkast Clean Up At World Music Awards"), leads this year's pack of nominees with four nods, for Favorite Male Artist - Pop/Rock, Favorite Album - Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist - Soul/R&B and Favorite Album - Soul/R&B for his Confessions. Outkast and Kanye follow Mr. Entertainment with three nominations each.

Nine artists each received two nods in the 19 categories, including Simpson, Norah Jones, Prince, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z (see "Usher, Outkast, Kanye Top American Music Awards Nominees").

The American Music Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be broadcast live on ABC.
