Talib Kweli Taking A Beastie Break To Headline His Own Shows

Five shows will lead up to release of his new LP, The Beautiful Struggle.

Talib Kweli will take a break from his tour with the Beastie Boys to headline a few shows of his own in the days leading up to the release of his new album, The Beautiful Struggle.

The Brooklyn MC will headline five concerts beginning September 22 in New York. Due September 28, The Beautiful Struggle features a host of artists including Mary J. Blige, Common and Anthony Hamilton.

Kweli is also scheduled to perform the album's lead single, "I Try," on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday (September 15).
