It seems lately Tara Reid has been working as hard as she parties.
Along with appearing on several episodes of "Scrubs," the "American Pie" and "Van Wilder" heartthrob has shot three movies recently, all of which are due in 2004.
The first will be "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" with Edward Furlong (see "Edward Furlong To Star In 'The Crow: Wicked Prayer' "), followed by the ensemble indie comedy "Knots." "Like tying the knot," Reid explained. "It's kind of about relationships and everything that goes wrong and right, cheating and not cheating."
In the movie, Reid's character is engaged to a man played by John Stamos ("Full House"). "She is this conservative girl and he is a fashion photographer," Reid said. "And he cheats on her and she finds out and ... I won't tell you the rest."
Due later in 2004 is "Alone in the Dark," a thriller based on the video game of the same name, which she just wrapped with Christian Slater. "That one's uh ... that was weird," Reid said. "There was, like, monsters and there's action ... it's good, though, it's fun. It was the first action movie I ever did."
In the movie, Reid plays an anthropologist and ex-girlfriend of Slater's character, a detective of the supernatural who while investigating the recent death of a friend discovers that evil demons worshiped by an ancient culture are coming back to life to take over the world.
Reid warmed up for the role with another thriller, "Devil's Pond" with Kip Pardue, which was just released to video. "We go on our honeymoon and everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong," she said. "It turns out to be a little crazy. It's kind of like a 'Misery' meets 'Sleeping With the Enemy.' "
