Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Dunst Cast In New Cameron Crowe Flick

MTV prankster and 'Spider-Man' sweetheart will fall in love in 'Elizabethtown.'

Off-screen, Ashton Kutcher may date older women, but in the movies directors apparently like to see him with Hollywood's younger hotties.

In January he co-starred with Brittany Murphy in "Just Married." On August 22, he'll hit the big screen with Tara Reid in "My Boss' Daughter." And now he's lined up for a project with Kirsten Dunst.

The "Punk'd" prankster and "Spider-Man" sweetheart will carry Cameron Crowe's next movie, a love letter to the buoyancy of the soul called "Elizabethtown," according to a spokesperson for the director.

The ensemble romantic comedy, written by Crowe, will follow Kutcher and Dunst as they fall for each other at the overly elaborate memorial of a Southern patriarch.

Crowe will film a portion of the movie in October, but principal photography is scheduled for early 2004 in Oregon and Kentucky. The rest of the cast is still being assembled, according to the spokesperson.

Like the director's other movies, such as "Vanilla Sky," "Almost Famous" and "Jerry Maguire," music will be a focus in "Elizabethtown."

Crowe's Vinyl Films and Tom Cruise's C/W Productions are producing the movie.

After "My Boss' Daughter," Kutcher will likely star in the buddy cop movie "The Regulators." He's also vying for the part of Superman in the next movie about the comic book hero (see [article id="1469810"]"Ashton Kutcher, Josh Hartnett Considered For 'Superman' "[/article]).

Dunst has a comic book movie of her own coming up: "Spider-Man 2," due next summer. In the meantime she'll star alongside Julia Roberts in "Mona Lisa Smile," opening December 19 (see [article id="1459551"]"Julia Stiles, Kirsten Dunst Squeeze Into Girdles"[/article]).
