Out On Bail, Beanie Sigel Rejoins Rock The Mic Tour

Rapper charged with attempted murder in connection with shooting at Philadelphia bar.

Beanie Sigel, who was arrested last week on attempted murder charges, is free on bail and has rejoined the Rock the Mic Tour.

Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, posted a bond of $150,000 on Friday. The rapper turned himself in to Philadelphia police on Thursday night after performing on the Rock the Mic tour stop there (see "Beanie Sigel Arrested, Charged With Attempted Murder").

Beans is accused of firing approximately six shots at a man on Tuesday in front of a Philadelphia bar, hitting the victim once in the foot and once in the stomach. Police said Sigel knew the man he allegedly shot. In addition to attempted murder, he also faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and several weapons violations.

Over the weekend, Sigel rejoined Rock the Mic headliner Jay-Z and other members of the Roc-A-Fella family as the tour stopped off for two dates in Virginia. Sigel is slated to hit the stage Monday night (July 7) as the outing comes to New York.

Beanie has a preliminary hearing on July 14 for his latest set of charges, and on Wednesday he's due in court for an aggravated assault charge stemming from an incident on January 3. On July 17, the Philadelphia MC is scheduled to be arraigned on gun charges from an incident that occurred on April 20.

A representative for Sigel said the MC had no comment.
