Bow Wow To Seek Lessons On Macking, Gliding On 22s In New Clip

Rapper's LP drops July 22 with guest stars Baby, Amerie, Jagged Edge.

Bow Wow wants everybody to know he's no longer a kid, and his upcoming project reflects that. He recorded his LP Unleashed, due July 22, without the assistance of his longtime mentor, Jermaine Dupri, and in the video for the release's first single, "Let's Get Down," we see him inching even closer to manhood.

The 16-year-old goes out in front of the cameras Friday in Atlanta with director Bryan Barber to act out one of society's most beloved rites of passage — taking a driver's license test (see "Bow Wow Unleashed On Next LP, Talks About Life Post-Jermaine Dupri"). Luck is on his side as he manages to get the DMV's flashiest instructor ever, Cash Money's Baby, who also raps on the song.

We all know that when you roll with the Big Tymer you have to do it big time, so don't think you'll see B.W. honing his wheel skills in some state-issued vehicle. The #1 Stunna and his students can't roll in anything less than a big-body car with 22s or better.

As any young guy who gets his first chance to drive can attest, one of the best parts of getting behind the wheel is seeing how many girls you can attract. In order for Bow Wow to successfully complete his test, Baby must also make sure the young'un has his game tight.

In addition to Baby, Amerie and Jagged Edge also guest star on Unleashed. "Let's Get Down" was produced by a close friend of the Cash Money family, Jazze Pha. Other track gurus on the project include the Trackmasters, L.T. Hutton, Bink, Lil' Jon and the Neptunes.

Before the album, Bow Wow will launch his clothing line, Shago, on June 10 and will appear in his second motion picture, "Johnson Family Vacation" in the fall (see "Bow Wow, Solange Going On 'Vacation' With Cedric, Vanessa Williams"). There is also talk of him starring in a sitcom for the WB.

In real life, Bow Wow is already a legal driver. But with all this wheeling and dealing, he probably won't have too much use for that license — he'll be too busy getting chauffeured around in limos.
