It was supposed to be the meeting of the swinger, the Jedi and the Ticallion Stallion, but now it's not happening.
Vince Vaughn said recently that "The Other Side of Simple" — an ensemble crime thriller that promised to put the "Swingers" actor alongside Hayden Christensen ("Star Wars"), Don Cheadle ("Traffic"), Shannyn Sossamon ("The Rules of Attraction") and Method Man (see "Method Man To Star In Crime Thriller With Vince Vaughn") — has fallen apart.
"That actually is a movie that I was supposed to be shooting right now," Vaughn said, "that they stopped four or five days before I was going to leave to go shoot it. Some of the cast fell out. I'm not at liberty to discuss."
Regardless of the setback, all of the actors who were to appear in "The Other Side of Simple" have plenty to keep them busy. Vaughn will appear alongside Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson in the comedy "Old School." Christensen's "Shattered Glass," co-starring Maggie Gyllenhaal ("Secretary") and Rosario Dawson ("25th Hour"), is due later this year. Method Man will appear in the Eddie Griffin ("Undercover Brother") comedy "My Baby's Mama," set to drop in April.
Meth has a variety of other film projects in the works, including a fish-out-of-water comedy being scripted by "Barbershop" co-writer Don Scott that will reunite the rapper/actor with frequent collaborator and "How High" co-star Redman.
