Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds Plan Unplugged Tour

Acoustic journey will feature frequent collaborator Tim Reynolds.

Dave Matthews will trade stadiums for theater stages beginning March 19 when he launches a 13-date acoustic tour with pal Tim Reynolds.

The trek will kick off in Wallingford, Connecticut, and will swing through mostly college towns on the East Coast and Midwest, finishing up April 5 at an as-yet-unannounced location, according to a spokesperson for Matthews.

Traditionally, wintertime is the right time for the duo, who've embarked on extensive cold weather tours in 1996, 1997 and 1999. Seasoned guitarist Reynolds has played on several of the Dave Matthews Band studio albums and has also released a two-disc live album with Matthews, Live at Luther College (1999), taped during a monthlong 1996 tour.
