Creed, Dixie Chicks Share Trophy At People's Choice Awards

'Fellowship of the Ring,' 'Spider-Man' tie for Favorite Motion Picture.

The people are apparently indecisive, as two of the top prizes at the 29th annual People's Choice Awards on Sunday were ties.

Creed and the Dixie Chicks shared the Favorite Group trophy, while "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" and "Spider-Man" earned equal votes for Favorite Motion Picture.

The first installment in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy still proved the big winner, though, also nabbing Favorite Dramatic Motion Picture over "Signs" and "Red Dragon." "Friends" was the only other double winner, for Favorite Television Comedy and Favorite Female Television Performer (Jennifer Aniston).

In the other music categories, Eminem beat Nelly and Alan Jackson for Favorite Male Performer and Faith Hill ousted Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion for Favorite Female.

Other winners included Julia Roberts, who won the Favorite Actress award for the ninth time, Mel Gibson for Favorite Actor, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" for Favorite Comedy and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" for Favorite Television Dramatic Series.

Tony Danza hosted the ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium near Los Angeles. Nominees and winners were determined by a nationwide poll conducted by the Gallup Organization.
