When you want to reconcile with your girl, whose music do you play? Some of that good old Justin Timberlake? Maybe Enrique Iglesias or even Ja Rule? Well, in his new video for "All I Need," Fat Joe is out to prove he's the logical choice to bring couples together.
Joe plans on filming the clip for the track, on which he pleads devotion to his wife, on December 17 and 18 in New York. Fittingly, the rap Don enlisted Gina Prince-Bythewood, who directed the heartstring-tugging "Love & Basketball," to help him convey the story of boy-meets-girl and all the jubilation and tribulations that go along with it.
For his video, which will also feature performances by his Terror Squad members and song guest stars Tony Sunshine and Armageddon, Joe will re-create a climactic scene from another date flick, John Cusack's "Say Anything."
The clip will follow the story of a fly guy from the 'hood named Dom and his girl Donia. After she mistakenly assumes he hasn't been faithful to her, he uses the sounds of his friends, the Terror Squad, to win her back.
"All I Need" is the third video from Joe's latest album, Loyalty. He took a shoestring budget and recently shot the performance-heavy clip for "Take a Look at My Life" in New York.
Joe, who is currently vacationing in one of his favorite spots, Miami, will pop up early next year on albums by Gang Starr, R. Kelly and Blu Cantrell.
