Jadakiss Works On LOX Album, Plans New Solo LP

Singer also has appearances on Mariah Carey disc, 'Drumline' soundtrack.

Jadakiss may be sipping rum punch in the Caribbean this week, but his vacation is well deserved. Over the past few months, Jada has kept his plate overflowing with a range of solo and group projects.

As one third of the LOX, Jada worked furiously with fellow group members Sheek and Styles to complete the still-untitled third LOX album before Styles had to turn himself in for a short jail stint last week (he was sentenced to serve eight months in prison for stabbing a man in the "backside"). The album features production from in-house Ruff Ryder talent, including Swizz Beatz, and will be released next year.

Jada also continues to be everyone's favorite R&B accompaniment, guesting not only on Jennifer Lopez's "Jenny From the Block" single with Styles (see "J. Lo Sets Release Date For LP After Song Leaks Out"), but also on a Jermaine Dupri-produced track for Mariah Carey's Charmbracelet album. Jadakiss even pairs up with singer Joe for the first single off of the upcoming soundtrack of the marching-band flick "Drumline" (see "JC Chasez, Joe, Jadakiss, Alicia Keys On 'Drumline' Soundtrack").

And not to be relegated to movie soundtracks alone, Jada recently shot a performance scene for the film "Honey," which stars Jessica Alba and Lil' Romeo (see "Jessica Alba Flashdances, Sneaks A Taste Of 'Honey'").

So what happens once the Yonkers native leaves the islands and returns to New York? It's back into the studio to work on a follow-up to his 2001 solo album, Kiss Tha Game Goodbye (see "Jadakiss, DMX Team Up For Goodbye").
