Avril Lavigne, Enrique Iglesias, Linkin Park also nab multiple nominations.

Crossover star Shakira stands alongside Juanes and Diego Torres at the front of this year's pack of nominees for the inaugural MTV Video Music Awards Latin America.

The progressive metal outfit is up for Best New Artist International and Best Rock Artist International. Mana is also confirmed to perform at the awards show, set for Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason Theater.

Other familiar names among the multiple nominees are Enrique Iglesias, with three nominations, and Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne and Nelly Furtado, with two nods apiece.
