Linkin Park's Bennington To Reunite With Old Band

Singer set to join former band Grey Daze for September 7 benefit show in Phoenix, Arizona.

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington will relive some of his glory "daze" with his old band in September.

Bennington is set to join his former band Grey Daze September 7 for a one-off show at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a Warner Bros. spokesperson. The gig is a benefit for his friend and former bandmate Bobby Benish, who is having difficulty paying his medical bills after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

The Phunk Junkeez, Pokerface and Gift are also on the bill.

Bennington, a Phoenix native, joined Grey Daze in 1993. The group garnered a decent regional following and recorded two albums with him, 1994's Wake Me and 1997's No Sun Today.

In 1999, Bennington left Grey Daze to hook up with Linkin Park, who, at the time, called themselves Hybrid Theory.
