As if Britney Spears isn't already offering up enough eye candy and tasty pop treats, she's cooking up yet another project to unleash on the public.
Like P. Diddy and Ricky Martin before her, Spears plans to open a new restaurant and lounge, in the chic Dylan Hotel on East 41st Street in New York City.
Keep your jokes to yourself: the eatery will not, emphasized a spokesperson for the venture, be a theme restaurant. Instead, it will be a reasonably priced American brasserie and a "hip, hot, sexy New York lounge."
It was previously reported in Crain's New York Business that the restaurant would be called Pinky, Justin Timberlake's nickname for Spears. But the spokesperson said that idea has been scrapped. The new name is not yet determined.
Co-owner Spears will partner with famous restaurateur Bobby Ochs. Ochs, no stranger to celebrity-fronted establishments, has previously worked with Patrick Swayze (Mulholland Cafe) and Marla Maples (Peaches). Ochs will handle the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
Construction on the space is starting this week in preparation for a May opening.
