White Stripes Play With Building Blocks, Line Up Tour

Dozen dates include four-night stand in NYC.

In a stunning development that's sure to overshadow the controversy over whether the White Stripes' Jack and Meg White are actually brother and sister, it now appears the Detroit blues-garage duo are closet Legomaniacs.

Their new video for "Fell in Love With a Girl" consists almost entirely of stop-motion animated building blocks constructed to represent the pair belting out their short and scruffy second single from White Blood Cells. The clip, directed by Michel Gondry (Chemical Brothers, Radiohead), follows up the band's minimalist "Hotel Yorba" video (see [article id="1445258"]"White Stripes Blow Up With Red, White And Blues"[/article]).

V2 Records will reissue White Blood Cells on February 25, the band's publicist said. The White Stripes' third album was originally released last summer by Sympathy for the Record Industry. On Thursday (February 14), the band gave fans a Valentine's Day gift of a dozen new tour dates.
