Moby To Introduce New Material At Winter Olympics

He is set to premiere 'In My Heart' from upcoming LP, 18.

Dance music maestro Moby is slated to premiere a song from his upcoming album, 18, at this year's Winter Olympic Games, taking place next month in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On the heels of the closing ceremonies on February 24, the chrome-domed DJ will kick off the Concert for the Athletes at Olympic Park by debuting "In My Heart," according to his publicist. That song will appear on the follow-up to 1999's Play, which is expected to drop in May. Other songs set for the LP include "Jam for the Ladies," which features guest vocalists Angie Stone and MC Lyte (see "Angie Stone Makes Studio Time With Timberlake, Moby, Keys"), and "We Are Made of Stars."

Moby isn't the only artist adding a musical component to the 2002 Winter Olympics, as part of the Hallmark Olympic Celebration Series — 'NSYNC, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, the Dave Matthews Band and others are also scheduled to perform (see "Creed, 'NSYNC, Dave Matthews Band, More Set For Olympic Concert Series").
