DMX, Faith Evans Shooting Clip For ‘I Miss You’

Video to be centered around X, Faith performance intermixed with scenes of X having flashbacks of interactions with his deceased grandmother.

After picking up a Billboard Music Award honor Tuesday night (December 4) in Las Vegas, DMX will head to Los Angeles on Thursday for a two-day shoot of his next video, “I Miss You.”

According to X’s label, Def Jam, the video will be directed by Chris Robinson and feature a cameo by Faith Evans, who sings on the track. The clip is said to be centered around an X and Faith performance intermixed with scenes of the video’s star reflecting on life and having flashbacks of interactions with his deceased grandmother, to whom the song pays tribute.

“I Miss You” is the third single off DMX’s current LP, the platinum The Great Depression. X, who has a DVD coming out on December 18, convinced Evans to appear on the track after a late-night meeting with the singer and her husband a few months ago (see “Faith Evans Raps Like Biggie, Sings For DMX After 4 A.M. Hotel Visit” ). The pair collaborated once before, on X’s remix to “How’s It Going Down,” in 1998.
