McCartney, Wyclef, Destiny’s Child To Have Nobel Audience

Natalie Imbruglia, A-Ha also slated for concert honoring Peace Prize winner.

What’s the next best thing to getting the Nobel Peace Prize? Performing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, of course.

Paul McCartney, Wyclef Jean and Destiny’s Child will have that honor December 11 at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway.

McCartney, Wyclef, Natalie Imbruglia, ’80s favorites A-Ha, worldbeat leader Youssou N’Dour and opera star Russell Watson will perform at the event, while Destiny’s Child will pre-record a performance for the concert, according to organizers.

Actors Meryl Streep and Liam Neeson will host the event, which will honor this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

The event will be broadcast on Norwegian and international TV stations in the weeks following.

Moby, Bon Jovi, Natalie Cole, Westlife and Femi Kuti performed at last year’s concert for the Nobel Peace Prize, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
