J. Lo To Add Stints As Waitress, FBI Agent To Her Résumé

Singer's upcoming film roles also include stint as modern-day Cinderella in the hood.

Jennifer Lopez can't seem to get enough of those bad boys. J. Lo will be Ben Affleck's leading lady in the film "Gigli," which starts production in December, her spokesperson said.

Not exactly the pillar of virtue herself in the drama, Lopez helps Affleck's character hold the district attorney's brother hostage.

The mood of the "The Chambermaid," which begins shooting in April, is lighter. In the romantic comedy, Lopez plays sort of a modern-day Cinderella in the hood.

After production shuts down on that, she'll jump right back in the midst of chaos and tough guys for "Tick Tock," starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson's character is suspected of planting bombs all over Los Angeles, and Lopez is an FBI agent who enlists his help to find and diffuse them. There's only one problem: Jackson is an amnesiac.

Already in the can and slated to be released in May is "Enough." In that one, J. Lo's waitress character marries a man (Billy Campbell) who turns out to be abusive. After reaching her boiling point, she goes on the lam with her daughter only to be pursued by her ex. She then turns hunter and plots to kill him.

Musically, Lopez has also had it up to here with a love interest. Her second collaboration with Ja Rule, a remix of "Ain't It Funny," has hit the streets (see "Ja Rule Helps J. Lo Deliver Hot Crossover Joints"). Over a reworking of Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear" beat, Lopez sings about dropping a boyfriend who keeps messing up. Ja and fellow Murder Inc. artist Cadillac Tah drop rhymes on the song.
