Destiny’s Child have postponed a planned European tour due to safety concerns in the wake of last month’s terrorist attacks.
The tour, which was set to begin earlier this month in Australia and then head to Europe, will be rescheduled, possibly beginning in late April or early May 2002, according to a spokesperson for the group. Destiny’s Child aren’t alone: Janet Jackson already called off her overseas tour over similar safety concerns (see “Janet Jackson Cancels European Tour” ).
Destiny’s Child plan to appear at Sunday’s United We Stand — What More Can I Give benefit in Washington, D.C. (see “Destiny’s Child, P. Diddy Added To D.C. Benefit Concert” ).
