Mudvayne Leave Pledge Of Allegiance Tour

Quartet depart trek for 'personal reasons,' will join A Night of Merry Mayhem on Halloween.

The Pledge of Allegiance tour has just got a little cleaner and leaner with the departure of Mudvayne, who left the tour following its September 30 stop in San Diego.

The face-painted quartet missed the tour's Las Vegas show on Tuesday and won't return, according to the group's publicist, who said the band withdrew for "personal reasons." The Pledge of Allegiance tour, which began September 14 and ends October 31, features headliners System of a Down and Slipknot along with openers Rammstein and No One (see [article id="1448681"]"Slipknot, System's Pledge Of Allegiance Tour Dates Announced"[/article]).

Mudvayne will head back to their Peoria, Illinois, hometown before setting out on the A Night of Merry Mayhem tour with Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie on Halloween (see [article id="1449476"]"Ozzy, Zombie To Wreak Merry Mayhem On Tour"[/article]).

No One were scheduled to leave the Pledge of Allegiance tour after next Tuesday's show in Chicago, when they were to be replaced by American Head Charge. Now, however, No One will stay on for the duration, and American Head Charge will take over Mudvayne's slot beginning Tuesday, according to management for both bands.
