Sheryl Crow and No Doubt's Gwen Stefani are the latest additions to an already star-studded lineup set to perform Motown classics at this year's City of Hope dinner, which raises money for a prominent cancer research and treatment center.
Mary J. Blige, India.Arie, Jon Bon Jovi and Shelby Lynne are among the artists already announced for the event, to be held October 11 at Universal Studios in Los Angeles (see "Mary J. Blige, Roger Daltrey, Sisqo To Play City Of Hope Dinner"). Motown legend Smokey Robinson is also on the bill, along with Jonny Lang, Vince Gill and Amy Grant.
The City of Hope Spirit of Life Award Dinner will raise money for the City of Hope National Medical Center and Breckman Research Institute. A research fellowship will be established in honor of Edgar Bronfman Jr., executive vice-chairman for entertainment conglomerate Vivendi Universal.
