Family Values Tour Dates Announced

Tour's third edition kicks off October 11 in Cleveland with Stone Temple Pilots, Staind, others.

More than 30 dates are confirmed for this year's edition of the Family Values tour, which features Stone Temple Pilots, Staind, Linkin Park and Static-X.

The trek kicks off October 11 in Cleveland and concludes Thanksgiving weekend in Southern California. Deadsy, fronted by Elijah Blue (son of Cher and Gregg Allman), and newcomers Spike 1000 will also appear on the tour (see "Static-X Join Family Values Tour As Itinerary Shapes Up").

After successful runs in 1998 and '99, Family Values took 2000 off due to heavy competition. Tour co-creators Korn headlined the first edition, towing along Limp Bizkit, Rammstein, Ice Cube and Orgy. The following year, Limp Bizkit topped a bill that included Filter, the Crystal Method, Primus and Staind.

Headliners STP released their fifth album, Shangri-La Dee Da, in June. Staind will support Break the Cycle, while Linkin Park continue to work Hybrid Theory and Static-X promote Machine.
