Artful Dodger's Mark Hill To Tour Behind Breakthrough Two-Step LP

Group's mastermind to kick off outing September 24 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Artful Dodger mastermind Mark Hill will promote the U.S. release of the two-step act's debut album with a eight-city DJ tour this fall.

It's All About the Stragglers, which Hill recorded under the Artful

Dodger name with former partner Pete Devereux nearly two years ago, is due

stateside on September 18, according to Hill's publicist at London/Sire

Records.

After working with him for five years, Devereux parted ways with Hill earlier

this summer to pursue his own DJ career.

Artful Dodger are credited with breaking Britain's massive two-step (or U.K.

garage) scene with Stragglers and the album's hit single, "Re-Rewind,"

which features vocals by R&B star Craig David. Hill also produced David's

breakthrough album, Born to Do It.

Hill and Devereux released Re-Rewind, a two-step mix compilation

featuring three of their own tracks, in the U.S. in November (see "Artful

Dodger Hope To Consider Themselves At Home In U.S.").
