Original Duran Duran Lineup Reunite For New Album

Guitarist Warren Cuccurullo to rejoin Missing Persons for tour.

Lock up your women. Original wild boys Duran Duran are back.

Founding members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, Andy Taylor and John Taylor will enter the studio together for the first time in 15 years to record their first original-lineup album since 1984's live LP Arena, according to a group spokesperson. The reformation's result is expected to surface next year.

"It's something we are very much looking forward to," Rhodes said in a post on the band's official Web site (www.duranduran.com). "There has always been an incredible chemistry and musical energy when we have gotten together. We are all very excited about the prospect of seeing what we can create."

Guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, who has been playing with the glam-pop group since 1988's Big Thing, won't be left in the lurch because of the reunion. He'll reunite with the original members of his former band Missing Persons — drummer Terry Bozzio, bassist Patrick O'Hearn and singer Dale Bozzio — for a tour expected to begin this summer.
