Billy Gilman, Dale Ann Bradley Lead New Releases

Reissues celebrate careers of Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons.

Billy Gilman's latest album leads the pack of new country albums hitting stores on Tuesday. Also out are a new gospel collection from acclaimed bluegrass singer Dale Ann Bradley and reissues covering the work of country icons Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons.

Twelve-year-old Gilman's Dare to Dream hits shelves the same week he is to be featured on the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he's up for three awards. The album includes his new single, "She's My Girl" (RealAudio excerpt), as well as such increasingly "mature" songs as "Our First Kiss" (RealAudio excerpt). Gilman's first album, One Voice, is platinum, and his Christmas album is certified gold.

The honey-voiced Bradley is releasing Songs of Praise & Glory on Pinecastle Records. Bradley, well-known for her work with the Coon Creek Girls, sings such gospel songs as "Clinging to a Saving Hand," "Abraham" and "Who Will Pray for Me."

Also out on Pinecastle is a new work by veteran bluegrass group Jim & Jesse. The McReynolds brothers' Our Kind of Country features 12 songs, including "Under Your Spell Again."

Texas Tejano-country singer Rosie Flores returns with Speed of Sound, featuring such songs as "Rock-a-Bye Boogie" and "Hot Dog." Terry McBride joins her on "Somewhere Down the Line."

Mi Son, from Texas country singer Rick Trevino on Vanguard Records, showcases Trevino's Hispanic heritage. Produced by Los Lobos' Steve Berlin, the album includes such songs as "Cupido" and "Long Goodbye."

Free Falls Entertainment is issuing singer/songwriter Daylon Wear's Texas Twister. Wear is known in Nashville for such songs as "When the Whiskey Walks In" and "Love Like a River," which he co-wrote with "I Hope You Dance" writer Mark D. Sanders.

The careers of the late Gram Parsons and his frequent collaborator Emmylou Harris are represented in packages from Rhino. Harris' two-CD Anthology: The Warner-Reprise Years is essentially a sampler of 44 songs from her 15 years on Warner/Reprise and includes guest artists Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Kate McGarrigle, Don Williams, Waylon Jennings, Ricky Skaggs, Linda Ronstadt and Vince Gill.

Sacred Hearts and Fallen Angels: The Gram Parsons Anthology, also a two-CD set, includes 46 songs from Parsons' stints in the International Submarine Band, the Flying Burrito Brothers, the Byrds and from his solo career.
