Insane Clown Posse Hitting The Road, Juggalo-Style

Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope kick off 25-date outing May 2 with opener Marz.

Detroit-based soda company Faygo Beverages had better increase production of Juggalo favorites Orange, Redpop, and future flavor Candy Apple (scheduled for bottling this summer), because the Insane Clown Posse are coming to town.

The harlequin horror rappers, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, will kick off a 25-date outing May 2 in Fargo, North Dakota, according to an Island Def Jam publicist, in support of their latest albums, Bizaar and Bizzar, released simultaneously last Halloween. The six-week trek is scheduled to wind down June 10 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Chicago rapper Marz will serve as the tour’s opener. Unlike his stint earlier this year supporting the face-painted pair, Marz will leave his band in the Windy City and he’ll be accompanied only by a guitarist, for a purer hip-hop feel, according to the MC’s publicist. Marz’s rap-rocking debut album, Lung Fu Mo She, was released in October.

Following their last trek together, ICP and Marz recorded the track “F— Dem,” which will appear on a Psychopathic Records sampler to be given out on the spring tour. Other artists featured on ICP’s label promo include Blaze and Dark Lotus, a collective involving ICP, Twiztid, and Marz.
