Janet Jackson To Bring All For You On The Road

Singer kicks off a 44-date tour July 5 in Vancouver.

Now that she's back on top of the singles chart — and headed for the top of the album chart with her new album, All for You — Janet Jackson's getting ready for her first tour in three years.

The singer will kick off a 56-date tour on July 5 at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jackson won't say whether or not the tour will feature the same kinds of elaborate set pieces and sexy interplay with the audience that marked 1998's Velvet Rope tour. But she does say that her approach to touring is all about pleasing the crowd.

"It's just trying to do something different each time and trying to make it enjoyable for the people, but at the same time putting myself in the audience's place," Jackson told MTV News' John Norris. "Hopefully I'm on the same page as everybody else, [and it's] something I want to see from an artist, from myself. Things that I enjoy and hopefully they will as well."
