Luther Vandross Finishing Up New Album

Crooner's latest, due June 19, includes contributions from Warryn Campbell, Shep Crawford.

Luther Vandross is finishing up his next album, which is scheduled to hit stores June 19.

The still-untitled project, Vandross' first recording for Clive Davis' new J Records, features production and writing credited to Warryn Campbell, Shep Crawford, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, according to the label.

The album reportedly mixes ballads and uptempo tracks including the moody "Hearts Get Broken All the Time (But the Problem Is, This Time It's Mine)" and the midtempo "Love Forgot." Vandross is also considering recording two Burt Bacharach tracks for the disc, which will be his first release since 1998's I Know.
