Missy Elliott, Redman On Nicole's Upcoming LP

Elektric Blue, due in July from 'Misdemeanor' protégé, also to feature Drama, Mobb Deep's Prodigy.

Her upcoming Miss E ... So Addictive, isn't the only project Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott is focusing on these days.

Her Gold Mine Inc., imprint is scheduled to release the second LP by her protégé Nicole in July.

Executive produced by Elliott, Nicole's Elektric Blue will feature appearances by Redman on the track "No Joke," Drama on "Can I" and Mobb Deep's Prodigy on "Bangin," her current underground single. Producers Timbaland, Eddie F and Rockwilder also will lend the singer a hand, with Elliott helping out with the beats as well as songwriting and rapping.

Elliott and Nicole will team up on "Last Night a DJ ...," which interpolates dance-funk band Indeep's 1983 hit "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life." Nicole's first single, the ballad "I'm Lookin," is due in April.

Nicole made her debut in 1998 with Make It Hot, which spawned the Timbaland-produced hit title track. She's been keeping busy since then singing hooks for Elliott, most notably 1999's "All N My Grill."
