The wattage for the All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson, set for March 29 at New York's Radio City Music Hall, has become ever more intense.
Billy Joel, Ricky Martin, Jimmy Webb, the Go-Go's, Hootie & the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker and the reunited Wilson Phillips (which includes Wilson's daughters Carnie and Wendy) will participate in the extravaganza honoring the great Beach Boys composer, according to Wilson's representatives.
Paul Simon, Elton John, Heart, Matthew Sweet and Aimee Mann and Michael Penn were announced as participants last week for a bill that will find each artist taking on a song from the Wilson catalog. The show will also feature a short set from Wilson himself and a top-to-bottom run-through of the Beach Boys' orchestral pop masterpiece Pet Sounds.
The tribute, part of TNT's Master Series, will air on the network this summer.
