Tool Album Release Pushed To Mid-May

Lateralus, previously announced for April 17, now due May 15.

Patience is a virtue Tool fans would do well to cultivate.

Those waiting almost five years for a new studio album from Maynard James Keenan and company will just have to wait a bit longer. The release of the band's highly anticipated third LP, Lateralus, has been pushed back to May 15, from the previously announced April 17, which, incidentally, is singer Keenan's birthday.

A Tool spokesperson did not specify a reason for the postponement but said the previously announced album and song titles (see "Tool Tinkers With Album Title, Set Track List") were still being used at press time.
