Missy Elliott Readies Third Album

On as-yet-untitled LP, due May 15, rapper/producer again collaborates with Timbaland; guests include Jay-Z, Method Man.

Missy Elliott's new single "Get Ur Freak On" is making waves at radio, and she's set to release her third album on May 15, according to Elektra Records.

On "Get Ur Freak On," as well as the rest of the as-yet-untitled album, Elliott once again collaborates with producer Timbaland. The disc also features appearances by Jay-Z, Method Man, Ludacris, Eve and Ginuwine.

"If there are any rules left to be broken, I'm breakin' 'em," Elliott said in the release.

After years of producing and writing for others, including Jodeci and Aaliyah, Elliott stepped out with 1997's Supa Dupa Fly, which included the hit "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)," a remake of Ann Peebles' 1973 hit "I Can't Stand the Rain." Elliott followed up in 1999 with Da Real World.
