With the elegaic "I Will Love You" reportedly being downloaded by 2 million users by the middle of last year, Fisher have already established themselves as one of the most notable musical success stories of the Internet.
Now the duo, which comprises Kathy Fisher and Ron Wasserman, are set to make a dent into television. "I Will Love You" (RealAudio excerpt) will be heard on Monday's installment of "Ally McBeal," accentuating an air of expectancy as the tension mounts between the popular show's lucky-in-lawyering/unlucky-in-love protagonist, played by Calista Flockhart, and her current paramour, Larry, played by Hollywood's own ODB, Robert Downey Jr, according to Fisher's spokesperson, Nancy Sullivan. The show airs on Fox at 9 p.m. ET Monday.
Fisher released the album True North, featuring "I Will Love You," "Breakable" (RealAudio excerpt) and other lush, piano-driven songs on the Farmclub.com label in October. Having already seen 11 of their songs reach the top 40 at MP3.com, Fisher now are immersed in more traditional methods of promoting music, such as playing radio festivals and club dates around the country.
