D'Angelo, Jill Scott Get Three Soul Train Nods Each

D'Angelo, Jill Scott, R. Kelly and Carl Thomas are sitting up front on the Soul Train this year.

With three nods each, those four singers topped the nominations for the 15th annual Soul Train Music Awards, which were announced Tuesday.

Double nods were given to Eminem, gospel duo Mary Mary, vocal quartet Jagged Edge and R&B supergroup Lucy Pearl. Newcomers Nelly and Avant each scored a nomination.

The awards will be handed out February 28 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and they will air in syndication March 3, according to the show's publicist. Performers have not yet been determined.
