Alan Jackson begins a tour of U.S. arenas with a concert Tuesday at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York.
The singer, whose latest album, When Somebody Loves You (RealAudio excerpt of title track), was released November 7, will play 17 concerts in arenas in 15 cities, most of them in the Northeast.
Sara Evans will open for Jackson at the kickoff show and at dates on February 1, 2, 3 and 7. Lee Ann Womack will open shows on February 8, 9 and 10. Opening acts for other shows have not yet been set.
Following his tour, Jackson will join George Strait's festival tour, which opens on March 24 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Jackson will be second on the bill to Strait on the tour, which also features Evans, Womack, Lonestar, Brad Paisley and Asleep at the Wheel.
