Destiny's Child Lead Blockbuster Nominees

Creed, 'NSYNC, Faith Hill also up for awards honoring fan favorites.

The spring awards season continues to unfold, as the nominees for the 7th annual Blockbuster Entertainment Awards were announced Friday, with Destiny's Child scoring five nominations.

The once-a-quartet, now-a-trio vocal group is nominated for Favorite Group of the Year and Favorite R&B Group, as well as the Internet-voting-only categories Favorite Single ("Say My Name"), Favorite Song From a Movie ("Independent Woman Part 1," from "Charlie's Angels") and Favorite Group — Pop.

'NSYNC, Faith Hill and Creed all wound up with four nominations.

Public voting to determine winners of the awards — which also honor motion picture and video game favorites — begins Tuesday in Blockbuster stores and online at www.blockbusterawards.com. Other Internet-only categories include Favorite Male and Female Artist — Pop, Favorite Soundtrack, and Favorite Artist and Group — Latino.

Voting will end February 16, and the awards ceremony will be broadcast on Fox at 8 p.m. ET on April 11, according to a release from Blockbuster. (MTV.com's parent company, Viacom, also owns Blockbuster.)
