'Divas Live' Again Will Salute Aretha

This year's installment of VH1 concert, airing April 10, to honor queen of soul.

Three years after being honored at the very first VH1 "Divas Live," the one true queen of soul will be the guest of honor at the 2001 installment of the extravaganza.

"VH1 Divas Live: The One and Only Aretha Franklin" is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. ET on April 10, from New York's Radio City Music Hall. No other featured performers have been announced yet.

At the climax of the 1998 "Divas Live," at New York's Beacon Theatre, Mariah Carey, Carole King, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan and Shania Twain gathered around Franklin, each taking a verse of King's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." But despite the vocal firepower each singer brought to the tune, none could surpass Franklin.
