Hard-rockers Linkin Park, riding high on the success of their single "One Step Closer," will launch their first headlining tour this month with openers Taproot.
The trek will kick off on January 26 in Seattle and work its way across the country before coming to a close on February 24 in Providence, Rhode Island.
"We're really looking forward to the headline tour because it will give us a chance to play some new material we haven't played yet," Linkin Park MC Mike Shinoda said in a statement. "I think it will be really exciting for us and for our fans."
Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, moves from #39 to #20 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week. "One Step Closer" is at #5 on the magazine's Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The band will make its network television debut on January 16, performing "One Step Closer" on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."
