The change will cause a domino effect pushing back the scheduled dates for the album's first single, the Japanese CD release and possibly the start of their tour. The single, "Without You," was to be shipped to radio January 27. That will change, but a new date has yet to be announced. And, the site says the band is currently assessing the status of their dates, now slated to begin March 6 in New Zealand.
Also up in the air is Van Halen's participation at the Grammys in February. Sources close to the band say they were scheduled to present an award, but now that's dependent on the new schedule.
The official report says that the band recently wrapped up a strong new track called "Josephina" and that their record company, Warner Bros. opted to delay the release to make sure the cut could be included on the new album, "Van Halen III."
