The brand spankin' new version of Van Halen, complete with new singer Gary Cherone, will hit the road for a few U.S. dates in May before returning launching a European tour.
The brief Stateside run will see the band return to arenas after debuting its new line-up in front of a relatively tiny crowd at Los Angeles' Billboard Live earlier this month. The tour dates, which were released on the official Van Halen website (at www.van-halen.com), come the same day as Soundscan sales figures for the band's latest album, "III."
The revamped VH managed to move more than 190,000 copies of the album, which means it will debut in "Billboard's" number four spot behind the unyielding "Titanic" soundtrack, Celine Dion's "Let's Talk About Love," and C-Murder (the latest artist from Master P's No Limit Records) who debuts at number three with "Life Or Death."
