Usher Wants To Show Growth On Sophomore Effort

September 17 [12:00 EDT] -- Other than chart success, teen sensation Usher has another goal for his sophomore effort, "My Way."

"I want to show people that I've grown a lot since my last album, and writing was a part of that process," Usher told our colleagues at the MTV Radio Network.

To showcase his maturation, Usher enlisted the help of Babyface, Jermaine Dupri, and Teddy Riley as well as co-writing six songs himself.

So far, the move seems to be paying off as Usher's new single, "You Make Me Wanna," is currently at number three on the "Billboard" singles chart, and has already been certified gold.

The second single, "Nice And Slow," should hit the airwaves in October. Usher also hopes to hit the road for a tour before the end of the year.
