Type O Negative is currently holed up in a recording studio in its native Brooklyn and pounding out its upcoming album, "World Coming Down."
Vocalist/bassist Peter Steele and company are once again producing the disc themselves and hope to have it in stores in mid-August.
The goth-tinged metal outfit is expected to venture out of Brooklyn shortly after the album's release, though no tour plans have been made yet.
"World Coming Down" will be the band's fifth offering and will attempt to build on the success the band found with 1996's "October Rust." That effort carried a modest radio hit (a cover of Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl") and landed the band a slot on 1997's Ozzfest tour.
