Rap producer and performer Timbaland, of Timbaland and Magoo fame, is about to venture out as a solo act, although he says there are no plans to break-up the duo, whose song "Luv 2 Luv U" climbed the charts last year.Timbaland recently shot the video for the song "Here We Come," the first single off of his solo record called, "Tim's Bio: Life From Da Bassment," and the song features a portion of the theme from the animated "Spider-Man" TV series on it, recreated in a futuristic funk style. The video, directed by Francis Lawrence, was filmed last week in Long Beach, California, and also pays homage to the comic book super-hero. Both Timbaland's partner, Magoo, and rapper Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott are featured on the track, and also turn up in cameo appearances in the video along with Ginuwine and Aaliyah. For the clip, each of the artists are dressed-up to look like various comic book characters and are shot against outlandish neon-lit sets. "This album has some of the
best music that I've ever produced," Timbaland says of the project, "I'm glad that my crew, Missy and Magoo, are on the single. This record is beyond hot.""Tim's Bio: Life From Da Bassment," is the first to be released on Timbaland's new label, Z-Man/Blackground Entertainment, and is due out on November 24.
