September 3 [7:55 EDT] -- If you couldn't make it to this summer's second annual Tibetan Freedom Concert in New York, you'll soon get the chance to see what you missed.
A three-CD set of music from the June concert, featuring turns by the Beastie Boys, U2, Radiohead, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, and many others, will arrive on November 4. As we first reported in June, the set will also carry tracks from last year's maiden Tibet concert in San Francisco.
Last year's San Francisco show was captured on film and will be the subject of a documentary film, which incorporates the history of Tibet and its struggle with the Chinese. That film should also arrive in November.
Tibetan culture will get a lot of attention this fall with Martin Scorsese's Dalai Lama film titled "Koondun," as well as Brad Pitt's "Seven Years In Tibet" also hitting theaters.
