Robbie Williams Lines Up U.S. Tour

With the Stateside release of his "The Ego Has Landed" album looming, Brit pop sensation Robbie Williams has lined up an armload of U.S. tour dates to support the album.

The release, which is a collection of material previously released in Europe on other albums, will hit stores in the U.S. on May 4, and a few days before that, Williams will launch his North American tour in Toronto. He will go on to play a total of nine dates in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping things up on May 15 in Detroit.

While Williams is accustomed to playing large venues abroad (the European leg of his tour finds him playing arenas that will also host shows by Bruce Springsteen, Alanis Morissette, and Lauryn Hill), his Stateside run will see him visiting intimate clubs.

Williams has a bit of resting to do before coming to the States. As we first reported last week (see "Robbie Williams Picks Up Flu On U.S. Trip"), Williams was forced to cut short

his recent European tour after picking up the flu on his trip to Austin, Texas' annual South By South West music conference.
