Robbie Williams Sings Ode To Texas For New LP

U.K. pop star Robbie Williams is currently getting his kicks by providing music -- and his animated likeness -- to the "FIFA Major League Soccer 2000" computer game.

But in January, Williams will head into a studio to start work on his third solo album, the follow-up to 1998's "I've Been Expecting You." Earlier this year, Capitol Records compiled songs from "I've Been Expecting You" and Williams 1997 solo debut, "Life Thru A Lens," for the U.S. release "The Ego Has Landed."

One of the tracks slated for the new album is "Forever Texas," which Williams wrote during a stopover at the famed South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas back in March (see "Robbie Williams, Ben Lee Lead Friday's SXSW Cavalcade").
