"Whoomp" Rapper Faces Federal Drug Charges

May 30 [7:55 EDT] -- One half of the rap duo "Tag Team," which had an inescapable hit in 1993 with "Whoomp, There It Is" has been charged in Atlanta with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Steve Gibson, whose nickname is "Rollin'," was under surveillance by federal drug agents last Saturday, when he was allegedly spotted unloading 700 lbs. of marijuana from a pickup truck outside his house.

Inside, the agents said they found $275,000 dollars in cash. They're asking that Gibson be held without bail.
