Sugar Ray Off Woodstock As McGrath Takes Ill

Sugar Ray won't be getting its 14:59 in the sunshine at Woodstock '99.

The MTV Radio Network reports that the group has had to cancel its appearance at the festival due to an unspecified illness suffered by frontman Mark McGrath, who has been advised by doctors to rest.

According to the band's label, Atlantic Records, the illness caused Sugar Ray to cancel its Wednesday night show in San Francisco as well, and there is a possibility that the band will have to bow out of a gig in Vancouver on Saturday.

Sugar Ray was to perform on Friday at the festival.
